College Journey

We all know the first year of college brings a lot of excitement, along with some challenges. It may take time to adjust to life as a new student. The purpose of this blog is to share information on how you can make the most of your time on campus and navigate the challenges that come with transitioning to school. 

It was a great day when I arrived at Vadodara station on August 12, 2023, to join the BTech course at "Gati Shakti Vishwavidhyalaya" College. On August 16, we had an induction day where all the faculty and staff were introduced, and I submitted all my documents for verification. I was very nervous because it was my first time away from my hometown. I had many thoughts about my future after four years, wondering if taking the BTech course was the right decision and what kind of students I would meet.

After completing the verification process, I reached my hostel, "NHSRCL (National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited)." I had never stayed in such a hostel before; it was really beautiful and had all the conveniences I needed.

Roommates!

Hostel life is the best; it's where you encounter problems and find solutions using the "Jugaad" technique. I have an amazing roommate from Bhopal who is just like me. Sometimes, we even share the same thoughts and ideas. He is a very funny guy. I also have a second roommate from Assam who shares a lot of information about East India.

Neighbors!

I'm grateful to have wonderful neighbors. The first one is from Prayagraj, the second from Bihar, and the third from Haryana. Overall, I'm getting a rich experience of different states.  

      

Garba Nights!

We took part in Garba dance during Navratri in Vadodara. This is a special occasion for all of us. We celebrated Garba nights with great enthusiasm and joy. The vibrant music, colorful outfits, and lively dance moves made the experience unforgettable. We enjoyed every moment, dancing late into the night and creating wonderful memories together.

Garba nights at Laxmi Vilas Palace are very famous, attracting many people who come to enjoy and celebrate. The atmosphere is delightful and creates happy vibes all around us.

I have visited Laxmi Vilas Palace twice, and each time, it gave me an amazing vibe of the royal life of King Sayaji Rao. There is a museum and a park named after Sayaji Rao as well. Overall, it is a great palace to visit.

Agni Fest is the cultural fest of GSV. It gives a unique vibe. During cultural fests, we gain knowledge about different cultures. As we know, India is a country of diverse cultures and civilizations.

Best Friend!

Now, meet my best friend Abhinav Kesharwani. He's like a brother to me, despite not being related by blood. He's the top student in my class—intelligent and cute. Abhinav always gives me the right suggestions and guides me towards the right career path. I'm grateful to God for giving me such a friend. He's my well-wisher, always helping me with exams so I can manage my CGPA effectively. Overall, he's someone who always thinks about what's best for me.

I can't skip mentioning my biggest motivator, Rishav bhai. He always pushes me to grow and is ever-ready to help me. He stands by my side through thick and thin. His simplicity gives me immense power and energy. In one word, he's perfect—so we all call him "Mr. Perfect."
